Material: ABD pads consist of a non-woven top layer, an absorbent inner core, and a non-adherent bottom layer. The outer layers are typically made of soft, breathable materials that are comfortable against the skin, while the inner core is designed to absorb exudate and keep the wound dry.
Sterility: Each pad is individually packaged in a sterile wrapper to ensure it remains free from contaminants until use.
Adhesive: ABD pads generally do not have adhesive backing. They are designed to be held in place with medical tape or a bandage roll.
